ABOUT MAURICIO
I was born and raised in Mexico, the youngest of four and an unexpected gift to my parents. Growing up almost like an only child, I received the best of both worlds — my father’s generosity and my mother’s steady training in determination.
In first grade, I struggled badly with my grades. I felt shame, but I promised myself I would improve. One month later, my teacher pulled me to the front of the class and praised my turnaround. That moment planted something permanent in me: perseverance works.
As a child, I was bullied often — for my learning style, my appearance, and my social status. One day, at seven years old, I stood with a group of kids who were being targeted. Something rose up in me. I stepped forward, looked the leader in the eye, and told him we wouldn’t be stepped on anymore — not by him, not by anyone. The bullies backed off.
That day a fire was lit in me: protect the vulnerable, and refuse to be a victim if you can help it.
When I was eight, my favorite TV show was suddenly canceled. Instead of accepting it, my mom helped me find the TV station in the phone directory, and I called the network myself. The next day, the show was back on the air. That taught me something I still believe today: a closed door is often just a door you haven’t knocked on yet.
Growing up around my father’s trucking business and restaurant shaped my view of leadership. My dad worked alongside his employees — never above them. He led with fairness, kindness, and dignity. That example became my blueprint.
At 18, I moved to the United States with limited English and a determination to build something meaningful. There were days I cried in my dorm because I couldn’t understand my professors. On the bathroom floor, I prayed for God’s help. Slowly, the language became familiar… then comfortable… then natural.
During my senior year of college, my father passed away. I wanted to quit. But one of his last words to me were, “Finish the race and improve yourself.” I couldn’t fail the sacrifices he and my mother had made, so I finished my degrees and stepped into a new chapter.
After 2 years of marriage, my wife and I faced five years of infertility and uncertainty. Doctors told us we would never have children. We explored adoption and foster care, prayed, and waited. In God’s timing, we received our first miracle child… then twins… then triplets. Multiples teach you humility, dependence, and the beauty of letting go. They changed me forever.
Throughout my career, I’ve led teams, mentored students, and encouraged people to rise above their circumstances — to find their flame and let it grow. Hardship has been a steady companion, but so has hope. Whether it was learning a new language, working multiple jobs to provide for my family, or training to dunk a basketball at 27 after being told I couldn’t — my life keeps proving that improvement is always possible.
Today, my mission is simple:
To inspire others to embrace action, courage, and unshakeable faith.
My life motto:
Seek God. Know Him. Love Him.
When you do, your life becomes meaningful.
Your relationships deepen.
Your work gains purpose.
And you discover the strength to persevere through anything.

About ParentPreneur Plus, the meaning behind the logo
The Wolf
I’ve always admired the wolf — its strength, loyalty, and instinct to protect its pack. Wolves move with purpose and unity, and that mirrors how I aim to lead my family and my community. (Genesis 49:27)
The Arrows
The six arrows symbolize the children God has entrusted to me — each one unique, each one meant to be launched into the world with purpose. As Psalm 127 says, “Like arrows in the hands of a warrior…” they remind me of my responsibility to guide, shape, and release them with faith.
(Psalm 127:4–5)
The Name
ParentPreneur Plus stands for every parent who dreams big while raising a family — showing that you don’t have to sacrifice connection to pursue growth. The “Plus” is the reminder that with God, consistency, and courage, there is always more in you than you realize.
